While Saturday Night Live About to launch on a two-week hiatus to celebrate Thanksgiving, the show is gearing up with one of its biggest episodes to come back to. On Saturday, Live Comedy announced that Keke Palmer will be making her show debut on the third episode of December. New from her outstanding role in Jordan Peele’s noPalmer will make her Studio 8H debut with musical guest SZA, the latter making a second appearance on the show around the 2017 hiatus.
While it’s not clear how many episodes are left before the show takes an extended holiday break, Palmer’s episode will likely begin a two- or three-week period of new episodes before breaking out and back again in 2023.

Who left all SNL?
In total, eight of his castmates left the show before the season 48 premiere, including mainstays Aidy Bryant, Pete Davidson, Kate McKinnon, Alex Moffat, Kyle Mooney, Chris Redd, and Melissa Villaseñor. Featured player Aristotle left 30 Rock after one year on the show. Andrew Dismukes and Punkie Johnson were promoted to the main cast after two seasons on the show while adding four new faces: Marcello Hernandez, Molly Kearney, Michael Longfellow and Devon Walker.
This will be a transitional year, and the years of change are always difficult,” SNL Creator Lorne Michaels told the media at this year’s Emmy Awards. “There are new people, things change, and a different generation comes to the show.”

Throughout the remainder of Season 48, which is currently expected to run until next May, NBC is streaming new episodes live on both NBC and Peacock. Peacock has also served as a streaming vault for all episodes of SNL since its inception, with new episodes added the day after they air.
